Hey Daniel. I'm trying to understand why someone would borrow on a Defi platform also. I've done a bit of searching and still can not find a good answer. I always figured it was to short an asset. You mention someone would borrow from DeFi to speculate on the collateral asset growing in value. That isn't really making sense to me and maybe I'm missing something. Any way you can elaborate? Why wouldn't you just hold the ETH and exchange it once the value goes up? What is the added value of DeFi in this case? The article says "you sell your gain and settle the loan" but that doesn't really make sense to me. Isn't your collateral locked up? And again... why wouldn't you just hold the collateral and wait for the value to go up. Thanks in advance, appreciate the articles!
